Il n’y a pas de surprise durant cette troisième journée de course : Sébastien loeb remporte sa 43e victoire en Mondial, la setpième consécutive en Allemagne et la septième cette saison sur dix manches disputées. Il prend ainsi la tête du championnat Pilotes avec quatre points d’avance sur Mikko Hirvonen, qui n’a pu faire mieux que quatrième.

François Duval, auteur de quatre meilleurs temps ce dimanche, lui a tenu tête et termine au troisième rang derrière Dani Sordo.
