Alors que Sébastien loeb repart en Super rallye, Dani Sordo ne peut résister aux assauts des pilotes Ford, qui le suivent sur la route. Ils prennent la tête sans coup, férir et voient un doublé Ford se préciser lorsque Jari-Matti Latvala part à la faute. Demi-train arrière cassé, il perd dix minutes dans la longue spéciale de Jordan River et termine au septième rang final.

Mikko Hirvonen remporte pour sa part sa cinquième victoire en Mondial et reprend la tête du championnat du monde Pilotes.
